About the Annual General Meeting
The Uganda Law Society (ULS) will hold its Pre-Annual General Meeting on 29th September 2023 and the Annual General Meeting on 30th September 2023, at Imperial Resort Beach Hotel, Entebbe. As the premier National Bar Association in Uganda operating under the legal framework of the Uganda Law Society Act Cap 276, Laws of Uganda, the ULS is dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the standards of conduct and knowledge within the legal profession of the country.
The Uganda Law Society’s statutory objectives include; promoting access to Justice for indigent, marginalized, and vulnerable persons in Uganda, promoting the Rule of Law and Human Rights Protection in Uganda, strengthening the institutional capacity of the ULS to become a modern Bar Association and be invaluable to Members’ professional and business development. The ULS actively engages with the government and the courts, playing a pivotal role in shaping legislation and influencing the administration and practice of the law in Uganda.
In fulfilling it’s statutory objectives and vision ULS upholds a set of core values that include integrity, accountability, competence, independence, professionalism, corporate governance, creativity, innovation, and teamwork that serve as guiding principles for the society’s activities and also provide a framework for its members to uphold the highest standards of legal practice.
This Annual General Meeting provides a platform for the ULS to showcase activities executed throughout the year as mandated in fulfilling its statutory objectives. During the event, the ULS will present its Annual Performance Report to its members.

- AGM Attendance is limited to only paid-up Members for the year 2023.
- Members may submit questions or queries in advance of the meeting. Questions should relate to the business of the meeting and can be submitted by emailing the Secretary at hon.secretary@uls.or.ug by 4:30pm on Wednesday, 27th September 2023 so that the information can be compiled in advance.
