It is a new year and the Uganda Law Society is still unwaveringly determined to promote the Rule of Law and protect the Human Rights of Ugandans.

The Rule of Law is a fundamental principle of good governance in which all persons, institutions and entities, public and private including the state it'self are accountable to laws that are publicly promulgated, equally enforced and independently adjudicated, and which are consistent with international human rights, norms and standard.

All human beings have the right to be treated with dignity and respect and this can be afforded through the I am honored to present to you the 9th edition of the Uganda Law Society (ULS) Quarterly Rule of enjoyment of the protection of human rights through the Rule of Law.

This is the thirteenth ULS Quarterly Report on the state of the Rule of Law covering the period January to March currently undergoing training in preparation for the competitions. The ULS also continues to 2020. A number of Rule of Law issues have been highlighted in this Report and these including but not limited to; strengthen existing rule of law clubs by equipping them with reading and information materials to human rights, transparency and accountability. support them in promoting the rule of law.

This reporting period highlights issues affecting the rule of law and these include; abuse of Human I sincerely value and appreciate the stakeholders that have partnered with us to support our initiative to promote Rights, Transparency and Accountability, Checks and Balances as well as failure by some state the Rule of Law. These include but are not limited to the Justice Law and Order Sector (JLOS) and the Public Interest organs to follow Due Process.

This report aims at raising awareness in all matters pertaining the Law Clinic (PILAC); not forgetting our own Rule of Law Advisory Panel, the Rule of Law Strategic and Litigation rule of law amongst the public and the various stakeholders.
