ULS Issues Executive Order RNB No.2
The Radical New Bar has issued issued the Executive Order RNB No. 2 of 2024 in which it has formally withdrawn the appeal initially filed by the Uganda Law Society (ULS) in February. This appeal challenged the Civil Division of the High Court’s decision in the significant case of Kalali Steven vs. Uganda Law Society, a case that has been central to discussions within Uganda’s legal community.
The Radical New Bar’s withdrawal of the appeal underscores our commitment to decisive action and reform within the legal profession. This decision is not just a procedural move but a clear statement reaffirming our position to recall Ms. Ruth Sebatindira and Ms. Norah Matovu Winyi from their roles representing us at the Judicial Service Commission of Uganda.
As we advance, the Radical New Bar remains committed to fostering transparency and accountability in Uganda’s legal institutions. This development marks another step toward reshaping the legal landscape to better represent the interests and uphold the values of our community.
